Morteza

Morteza (مرتضی in Persian( Persians) is an artist (Iran abstract art). His work focuses on the human figure, its relation to others and its surroundings. His work if put in a category, would be modern, avant-garde, and abstract.

He uses art to inform and communicate in a mystical, serene, and fluid manner. With use of repetitive lines, the picture becomes complete, as a result it tantalizes the viewer.

'Mystical images' (figures) are used to influence the perceptions and experiences of my audience with regard to our upbringing.

Morteza strongly believes in the importance of peace among all nations and people! Forcing to abandon a loving family behind(Iran)during the turmoil of war and destruction(He spent his teenager years in Dublin, Ireland- St Tiernan's Community school). The collection of expereinces has inspired him to develop this body of work.

He has selected the medium of using black ink on white paper. Afterwards each original drawing is transformed into a negative and a poster is made from the negative. This medium allows the sale of his work at reasonable prices.

Through the exhibition and sale of original artist's prints and other forms of his artwork, he hope to influence and reinforce the value of art for future generations. His artworks can be seen at his web site morteza.org
